Sankata Devi Temple : Varanasi

Located above the narrow Ghat, is the ancient Antarcta Devi Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess of Remedi, the goddess Devi. There is a 4 to 5 ft high statue of Goddess Durga in the Goddess Sankata Devi Temple, which is said to be self-made. Within the premises of the temple, there is a magnificent statue in which there is a lion, a large Shivlinga and a banyan tree which shows the idols of Lord Ganesha and Hanuman.
