Adi Keshava Ghat : Varanasi

This fort of Varanasi is known as Vedeshwar Ghat in the inscription of the fort. It is considered the oldest and original (etc.) site of Lord Vishnu (Keshav). This Ghat is situated on the confluence of rivers Ganga and Varuna. Keshav Vishnu temple is a holy temple. Keshav Ghat etc. has religious and historical significance. These days it is also called Raj Ghat. The pier was made a fixed by the Diwan of Scindia. Keshav Ghat situated in Varanasi is an important pilgrimage site. These are the conch shells like Madhav, Saas, Lakshminarasinh, Gopivinda, Vindra Narasimha, Yagna Varah, Mara- Narayan, Vaman, Pranav and Dattatrayasura. There are twelve water tirths between Keshav Ghat and Varan, Aditya Keshav, Amberisa, Narada, Garud, Mahalaxmi, Padma, Gada, Chakra, Indraprastha, Kshyabibi, White Revolution and Padodak. Sangameshwar Ling has been established in a temple in the vicinity of Keshav Ghat. It is believed that this confluence was established by Lord Brahma. According to Ling Purana, bathing on the confluence of characters and Ganga and viewing Sangameshwar or Sangam God is a great religious qualification. It is said that if a person baths in the holy water of Keshav Ghat, then he will be free from the cycle of birth and death. Due to being located near Keshav, the courtyard of Sangameshwar can be easily seen from the temple pavilion. Brahmeshwar Lingam has it. It is a lingam with four faces and it is believed that Lord Brahma founded it.
