Prachin Hanuman Ghat : Varanasi
Both of the above (nos.19,20) Ghats have been built in the c.1825 and have been built as the definitive yehant Hariharanath. In this valley, there was a great devotion to Sant Vellabha (C.E.1479-1531), who laid the philosophical foundation for the great revival of Krishna Bhakti (Eck 1882: 223). His birthday is celebrated in the darkness of here (April 11-May). In the temple of Ram, there are five Shiva Lingas in the name of Ram (Rameshwar), his two brothers (Laxmanswara and Bharat Shaw), his wife (Site Source) and his monkey-servant (Hanumanishwar).
