Ganesha Ghat : Varanasi

This was known as Agnishwar Ghat in the first stream after Agni Tirthan. After the passage of Ganesa temple of Paswa, after the passage of time it is known by this name. The important temples on the top are Bhadreshwar and Nagsea Vinayak. There is another important water-tirtha Ikshvaku pilgrimage in the stream. During 1761-1772, Madhora Peswa made this ghat completely and provided extensive repairs. This legend is called Vigneshwara Ghat in mythological description. There is a special celebration of 9th-half-half (August-September) of Bhadrapad.
